2009 WOW its already here

SO since Thanksgiving Ive been sick in one form or another. I had strep and once over that I got a sinus infection and a ear infection thena throat issue I dont think it was strep agian but it sure hurt like hell. So anyway my New years was pretty crapy. I didnt get to go out and have fun... I didnt get to do anything but sit here with my kids. Really tho I wouldnt have it any other way.

I made S'mores with the kids and did party poppers. But the boys liked it.

WOW its December already!

I swear time goes so fast. I wish I could say I was doing lots of pages but Ive been sick. :( I got sick the day after Thanksgiving and hoped it would go away but it became strep throat. I was so so tired. Im happy to say Im getting better. Well enough to change my blog from Thanksgiving to Christmas. I need to really get my butt moving on my Christmas cards. Man a week of being sick sure took up alot of my time. I did get my lights up early. Which was a huge help seeing how Im usually putting them up now while Ive been sick. I love putting up the christmas lights it makes the apt look so festave. I wish we could keep em up all year.I just love the feel of Christmas. I hope Ill get some pages done sometime this month but I dont know I have loads of stuff to do; as do we all.. dont we..

Whew Halloween is over.

I hope you had a LOVELY Halloween I know I did. We carved pumpkins and brought home bags of candy how could you NOT love this holiday??

The days leading up to Halloween are so busy for me. I havent done any scrapping. I have BOUGHT things.
I bought the YUMMY Oh Joy line By Cosmo Cricket. This stuff is so pretty. I just cant wait to dig into it... if I ever get time that is.



Also have you seen the fab Creative Imaginations Tinsel Town collection. It has that yummy vintage feel that I know so many of us love. whats more this line has been printed with soy ink so your scrap pages can go green. I didnt buy all of the pages on this collection seeing how my scrap store didnt have them all in yet. I really really love this line!!! Oh and the die cut paper is form their Mistletoe line.. man they have some fab paper lines out this year


I got three new colors of Glimmer Mist. Forest Green, Mistletoe and Wild Currant... all I can say is WOW they are fab! They are going to go with the above lines so well.

As happy as I am to move on to Holiday papers and pages I have to say I try really really hard not to skip over Thanksgiving. I LOVE that holiday! Its a time to reconnect with family and traditions.

there are not a ton of Thanksgiving papers out there. But dont let that STOP you from making some pages that reflect your family traditions.

Crop till you drop...

I went to the Oakdale Coyote crop. It was put on by the PTA at the school. 12 Hours of croping fun! Soda, snacks, lunch and dinner included. Great for 30 bucks the way I drink soda. LOL

So for 12 hours I got to spread out on a huge table.. that was nice seeing how I'm used to scraping on my computer desk. So after 12 hours I did 7 pages part of a mini book and a Halloween frame. I forgot my Cosmo cricket chipboard for these so I have to finish them today..

More of my red velvet kit.. I think I can get another page out of it LOL I need to make a embellishment for this one so I can use it in scrap mojo if I'm not too late lol

Life lesson number 95.. I dont know why I picked 95 but I did. I love this one tho It was funny at the time and I still think its funny. That paper is the Cosmo cricket Hello sunshine line; its a really bright line and very happy colors.

I finally broke down and bought a red velvet kit a few weeks ago. I really wasn't too thrilled with the papers. Pinks are not my friend lol.. BUT after working with them and making a few pages I'm IN LOVE!! Thank you cousin! she is the one that told me how fun they were.

I also made a awesome Halloween card for my sister shes a total zombie freak. Used my beloved glimmer mist on this one. Meadow green and Graphite with a little sandy beach.


SO Im slowly getting ready for Halloween.. Im not feeling it so much this year. I dont know why eather. But going to the pumpkin patch with cousin was a huge help.

LOVE me some Cosmo Cricket!

I know I say it a lot but I LOVE Cosmo cricket papers. I wish I could paper my whole world with them. The haunted line is delightfully dark and I cant get enough of it. The sweet little skeleton they came up with, melts my heart every time I see him.
So Took the kids to the Dell Oso Pumpkin patch and had a total blast! Afterwords My lovely cousin Marie and I went to a local crop Here in Oakdale.
I made this with some of my haunted papers, chipboard and die cuts.


I used some alcohol ink in butter scotch on Making Memories metal frames. Then rubbed my Staz on jet black ink pad to make the pattern pop. BOO in Black glitter Thickers. I had to get that cute skeleton ribbon on there too.


I added some glimmer mist goodness to the super awesome bat that I love


EEK I so Love that product line.

Fall is in the air

ahhh fall the weather has been so nice the past couple of days. Im really glad too becuse Friday Im going to the pumpkin patch with My cousin and her kids. Its going to be a ton of fun and not too hot woot woot!!!
Ive done a couple of pages the past few days.


this one was a small trip to the pumpkin patch with my sister and the kids. It was for www.pencillines.com sketch 104 but I didnt get it done in time.. such is life. the cute tree paper was from the dollar spot at target also the little sticker embellishments so if you have a Target run out an check them out.



This is a shot that my sister got of Melanie. I love that pic and thank goodness she was in camo and I could use Mr Campy papers hehe. That awesome lace is form a ebay lot I won. I love it


So Friday evening My cousin and I are going to go to a crop here in Oakdale I know its going to be fun as it always is. Its going to be a FULL day but thats fine with me

I had a busy weekend!

I went to a crop here in Oakdale at the Pamperd Scrapper. Cousin and I had some real fun. Im serious if you are ever in town youve got to go everyone there is super-DEE-duper nice.
so I thought I was gonna work on halloween cards but NOPE! I had NO mojo flowin.
I did this tho

and I started this but didnt finish it till today.

I ran my wood grain paper thru the Dymo seeing how I didnt have any of that awesome wood gran stuff that cousin got.

So I got on a Halloween Kick I mean who couldnt with all those wonderful paper lines out there?

I really enjoyed using that Cosmo Cricket Haunted line. Ive got the ribbon on its way from ebay land so I may add some to these pages later.

OOH so it begins....

The pumpkin gutting season that is! aaahh I love the smell of pumpkin guts in the morning! we bought this awesome product called a pumpkin gutter. Its the fastest best way to clean a pumpkin! see our little vid of it here is my hubby using his saws-all to cut the top off the pumpkin. lookie three min later and its all clean and ready to carve!!! I chose this pattern from Zombie pumpkins the best site in the world for patterns soo worth the litte bit of cash u spend http://www.zombiepumpkins.com/ check them out they rock! fits jack o lantern of the season my neighbors think Im nuts I had it lit outside the past couple days!!!

Mojo

I filled in for the guest mojo girl this time around. I guess something came up and cousin asked if I could come up with somehting quickly.. I did! Im glad I was able to help her and I really like what I came up with. I used my beloved glimmer mist. Black gold and candy apple red.

Whats new?

Ive been working on ATCs for a swap at SIS. Its skulls and all things spooky. I thought of a great idea to use a Dutch boy paint chip. They have a little square hole in them which is perfect to put a cute bead in here is my prototype...


Ive decided to make the flourishing bats platinum color its a bit more noticeable. Tho I should have THOUGHT about how much work I was putting on myself. I need 26 and that's a whole lotta hand cutting and embossing...
that's the skull stamp I chose OMG I love it! Its by Inkadinkado. The bats are too.


So while Ive been putting off making those ATCs Ive done a few other things. I Did the scrapmojo challenge that was to use a School House rock title.. and glitter OMG who don't love glitter? I of course used glimmer mist! I love this pic of my cousin, sister and I. Its fab!! we were having fun taking self pics.



So I also did a challenge at Dream girls It was to use three diff stamps and wings along with a black n white pic. This what I came up with. I'm shocked at how easy it came together for me it sort of flowed out of my hands on to that paper.


so other than that Ive got some new stamps from Inkadinkado. They are clear stamps and pretty much each pack there was ONE stamp I really wanted. Well I was going to buy the wood mounted of that one. THEN I found these clear stamps that had not only, the one I really wanted, but also others I really liked and the entire set was a buck less than the one wood mounted stamp!! how awesome is that? I'm still waiting on one set that was on back order and of course its the set I really really wanted LOL





So anyway I have to get my butt moving on those ATCs but for now all is right in my scrap world LOL
